According to E. Bernhoft, he became a pastor here [Our Lady Church in Trondheim] in 1616 and stood here until his death in 1619. He must be the John Andræ that according to the list of Ewensen died on 17. april 1619. This is confirmed by the fact that domkapitelet on 23 May 1619 sends message to the king that the Dn Johannes Andræ in Our Lady Church is dead and domkapitelet has chosen his successor. 2
He signed the kapiteleden on 17. March 1591. Bang says that he is referred to as kapellanen in Our Lady Church of the documents in 1593 and 1594. The 18. sept. 1596 he was awarded kongebrev on Inderøy prestegjeld. In some notes about the Trondheim from the 1600s called it that in 1606 held kapellanen Hans Andersen the first show of Our Lady Church after it was rebuilt after the fire in 1598. 2

Hans Andersen Bernhoft (born around 1550, death 17. April 1619 in Trondhjem) was a Norwegian Lutheran minister.
On 17. March 1591, the Hans Andersen Bernhoft kapiteleden. He mentioned that kapellanen in Our Lady Church (Singapore) in documents from 1593 and 1594. The 18. september 1596 he was awarded kongebrev on Inderøy prestegjeld. In some notes about the Trondheim from the 1600s called it that kapellanen Hans Andersen in 1606 held the first exhibition in Our Lady Church after it was rebuilt after the fire in 1598.
Hans Andersen Bernhoft was married about. 1589 with Anna Pedersdatter (b. ca. 1558 - d. 16.05.1627 Trondheim). They had four sons, all of which were priests. It was Christen Hansen Bernhoft, Hans Hanssen Bernhoft, Peder Hansen Bernhoft and Anders Hansen Bernhoft. They had five daughters; Anne, Birgitte, Margareta, Benedikte and Elisabeth. The first three daughters were married, respectively, with the priests Anders Eriksen Kvernes, Laurits Holgersen Arctander and Christopher von Aphelion.
Bernhoft was pastor of Our Lady Church in Trondheim in 1616 and stood there until his death in 1619. In a source referred to him as "John Andræ" dead on 17. april 1619.
